| Clinical Trials |
| This site is an information service compiled by
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and its National Library of
Medicine. The mission of the site is to "provide patients, family
members, health care professionals and members of the public easy
access to information on clinical trials for a wide range of
diseases and conditions." Clinical trials are research studies
testing new therapies that have not yet been approved by the FDA.
They can be risky, but for certain conditions, they may be the only
treatment available. Search the site by condition to find heart- or
vascular-related trials.
Features: Free access to approximately 5,000 clinical
trials primarily sponsored by the National Institutes of Health;
resource section providing links to other health-related sites.
