  • 1986 - 2000- Private practice in Clinical and Interventional Cardiology at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and William Beaumont Hospital. Over the last ten(10) years, have done over 5,000 coronary interventions, including atherectomies, laser angioplasties, coronary stents, etc. Also have extensive experience in coronary angiography.

  • 1994 - 1995- Sub-investigator. Grant from COR Therapeutics, Inc., for a study entitled: "A Randomized, Double-Blind Efficacy and Safety Evaluation of Two Dosing Regimens of Integrilin Versus Placebo for Reducing the Complications of Coronary Angioplasty". (IMPACT II study)
  • 1996 - 1997- Sub-investigator. Grant from G.D. Searle & Co., for a study entitled: "Safety and Efficacy of Xemilofiban Hydrochloride Administration to Patients with Stable or Unstable Angina or Hospitalized for a Recent Myocardial Infarction and Have Completed Coronary Revascularization". (ORBIT study)
  • 1997 - 1999- Sub-investigator. Grant from G.D. Searle & Co., for a study entitled: "Safety and Efficacy of Xemilofiban Hydrochloride Administration to Patients Undergoing Coronary Angioplasty or Stent Placement". (EXCITE study)
  • 1998 - 2000- Co-investigator. Grant from Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. and Lilly Research Laboratories, for a study entitled: "A Randomized Comparison of the ACS Multi-Link Coronary Stent System with or without Abciximab Versus PTCA with or without Abciximab in the Treatment of Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction". (Cadillac study)
  • 1999 - Present- Participating Physician. Grant from MEDCO Research, Inc., for the study entitled: "A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Multicenter Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Adenosine (Pallacor, Adenosine Injection) as an Adjunct to Reperfusion Therapy (Thrombolysis or Mechanical Reperfusion) in the Treatment of Acute Anterolateral Myocardial Infarction." (AMISTAD study)

Grant from Novartis Pharmaceuticals, for the study entitled: "Multinational, Multicenter, Double-Blind, Randomized, Active Controlled, Parallel Group Study Comparing the Efficacy and Safety of Long-Term Treatment With Valsartan, Captopril, and Their Combination in High-Risk Patients After Myocardial Infection". (VALIANT study)
